Facilities
Our local community is at the heart of our business. Rather than build a shop on our land, we prefer to support the local farm shop in our neighbouring village, Baycliff. The shop sells local produce, fresh groceries and basic supplies while nearby in the market town of Ulverston there is a popular supermarket, Booth’s. Ulverston’s thriving town centre offers a good choice of shops as well as an open market every Thursday and Saturday. For those wanting to bask in our local hospitality and experience great Cumbrian food and drink, the Farmer's Arms and Capitolas in Ulverston and the Clarke's Arms at nearby Rampside come highly recommended.
The historic maritime gateway to the Furness Peninsula, Barrow-in-Furness, is just a ten-minute drive from the park. Its town centre is equipped with a good range of high street stores, including Debenhams department store in the Portland Walk shopping centre.
